We're an alliance of San Mateo county residents, organizations, businesses and visitors dedicated to promoting greater sanctity and preservation of sensitive ecosystems by connecting public health and environmental education to stewardship and citizen action initiatives.

 

SAN MATEO COUNTY’S OPEN SPACE is:

  • 45 miles of coastline and beaches, 275 parks, 3 coastal estuaries, the bay and  an ocean sanctuary ~ home to 23 endangered and threatened wildlife species

  • More than half of the endangered plant species in the U.S. are found among San Mateo County's rare and important ecological habitats
